I’m Guy Fieri and we’re rollin’ out! Lookin’ for America’s greatest Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives!
This trip, we’re going coast to coast for some crazy cultural cuisine. In Valencia California, a coffeehouse serving up Seattle-inspired grub and joe!
Then in Hoboken, New Jersey, the authentic taste of the Big Easy, right across the river from Lady Liberty!
And in Charlotte, North Carolina, where this food truck is dishing out Korean Barbecue with a Mexican flare!
We’re here in Valencia, and I know what you’re thinking: “A coffeeshop!?!” Well this isn’t just your ordinary run-of-the-mill joint. Here, they’ve been serving up creative drinks and killer pastries for years.
Customer #1: I come here every morning, the drinks and food are always really consistent. The sizes are in a different language, but I think that just adds to the vibe here.
Customer #2: I stop here whenever I’m in Valenica… it is really consistent, right on the main road, and the breakfast sandwiches are great. I love how they tell you exactly how many calories are in each one.
Customer #3: The best part about this place is their seasonal menu. It really is phenomenal.
We’re here with Trevor, who came aboard back in 2016 when the restaurant was looking for an experienced barista. Alright man, what are we making today?
Trevor: A Pumpkin Spice Latte.
Shut the front door!
Trevor: We start by making the spice: combining cinnamon… nutmeg… and clove.
HOLY INGREDIENTS BATMAN! Is the cabinet empty!?!
Trevor: Then we go over to our espresso maker and pour out two shots.
And will this sit overnight?
Trevor: No. It’s coffee… we serve it hot.
Now what?
Trevor: We add steamed milk, and then the spice on top. And that’s it.
Next stop Flavortown!
(Guy sips latte)
Wow, simple, but it really allows all of the elements to shine… I’m really getting that pumpkin spice… that’s outrageous. Let me tell you, I’ve had my fair share of lattes, but this is out-of-bounds good! Well done my friend.
(Guy and Trevor dab fists)
Trevor: Thanks.
Up next, Jambalaya so good you’ll think you’re in the bayou—and not the swamps of Jersey!
