Prompt Images
Each week, we issue a writing prompt to our own staff, guest contributors, and readers like you. We welcome guest submissions, so if you’re interested in being featured or regularly contributing to the site, email your responses to kelaine.conochan [at] thepromptmag.com.
Last week, we explored our inner misanthropists, writing about just how terrible people are. But this week, we’re putting all our faith and trust in something bigger than that. This week, we all believe in #Superpowers.
Because sometimes you just need to believe in someone strong and uncompromising. Someone with—I don’t know—how about something like superhumanly acute senses, enhanced strength, speed, agility, stamina, durability, healing, and reflexes? Sound effective?
That all sounds nice, I know. But even with all those superpowers, everybody wants a trusty sidekick. A ride or die.
And even with a sidekick, there’s the whole issue of finding the right outfit for the job. I mean, the whole world’s on fire, and here we are with not a thing to wear! But fear not, for superpowers come with the most fabulous prêt-à-porter wardrobe imaginable.
We’re excited about our newfound writing superpowers. If you’re feeling similarly inspired, send us your original 400-700 word response to the #Superpowers prompt. It can be a personal essay, short story, poem, op-ed, or video. As always, we’ll print the very best. And remember, there’s just one rule for your submissions:
Now get to work!
