Twice a month, we issue a writing prompt to our own staff, guest contributors, and readers like you. We welcome guest submissions, so if you’re interested in being featured or regularly contributing to the site, email your responses to kelaine.conochan [at] thepromptmag.com.

We’re hungry. Thirsty. And we want you to have a seat at the table.

No, we’re not writing a cookbook (although, that would be dope), but this week, we’re cooking up something spectacular. We’re hungry for some recipes. Maybe you’re serving up hotdish like a good Midwesterner, or perhaps you’re more of a revenge is best served cold guy. Maybe a recipe for your favorite side dish with a little side commentary. Or perhaps you spin this into a recipe for success, for disaster, for a happy life, for causing a scene.

Some of the best recipes are quick and easy, which is why this is a great prompt. So get your ingredients out and bake us something delicious!

Ironic or sincere, real or imagined—just make it worth our while and we’ll publish it, include it in our newsletter, and give you the chance to join the creative, talented staff writers here at The Prompt.
