Accepting Submissions: {JOEY ROSEDALE} Writing Prompt

You know those things where it’s trying to determine your comic book character name or your pen name? Like “your ______ name is _________ + _________.” Or here’s another example:

Well, we at The Prompt were coming up with a new prompt idea. Our goal was to create ONE character name that we’d issue to our writers and then have each person write their own story about the person they envision for that. Well, apparently, “your porn name is your first pet’s name and the name of the street you grew up on.” And apparently, Natalie Brandt has name to top all names: Joey Rosedale.

So, now that’s the challenge. Joey Rosedale is the guy? gal? person? pet? and you just have to write a story featuring this illustrious Joey, however you envision the character.

This Week’s Writing Prompt: WRITE A STORY ABOUT A CHARACTER NAMED JOEY ROSEDALE

This week, we’re looking for new original pieces, using a JOEY ROSEDALE as your story’s primary character.

If you’ve got an inspired ideas about how to respond to this week’s prompt, send us your submission of 400-700 words. Write us anything that comes to mind but the central character has to be JOEY ROSEDALE. It can be a personal essay, a poem, short story, script, or anything else original and fresh. Ironic or sincere, real or imagined—just make it worth our while and we’ll publish it, include it in our newsletter, and give you the chance to join the creative, talented staff writers here at The Prompt.
