President / VP {Amazing Race}: Taking the {Debate} on the Road

Pairing the candidates up with their running mates to embark on an abbreviated version of The Amazing Race would be a more demanding physical and mental challenge. Televised for the duration of the event, this would test the candidates in a number of seemingly evergreen presidential skills.

• Foreign Policy: Getting in and out of countries legally and safely, dealing with locals, and using general geographic knowledge to demonstrate firsthand experience of international diplomacy.
• Economic Issues: Each pair is given the same travel stipend, and is not allowed to use their own transportation or funds during the race. Seeing how and where the candidates spend their money could speak volumes about financial literacy.
• Health/Fitness: Are the candidates in shape? What about their stamina? Are they making healthy, nutritious choices for their journey? The Amazing Race highlights the candidates’ physical fitness and ability to make healthy changes. Let’s see whether the candidates are serious about addressing America’s obesity epidemic.
• Decision Making Under Pressure: The pair must make quick decisions, take risks, and work together at all times. This gives voters an intimate glimpse into life inside the Oval Office.

In this Amazing Race, Americans would get to see their candidates practice what they preach, instead of the current format, which is solely preach, preach, preach.
