When applying for college, a job, or even a new apartment, it seems that every damn application these days wants to know the personal side of you. So, you’ve got to awkwardly ask your teachers, current boss, roommates, friends, family, and frenemies to vouch for you. It’s a lot of pressure.
But luckily, it’s also a good writing prompt. No pressure there. We’re honestly just stoked you’d want to join the gang—no letter of rec needed here!

This week, we’re looking for new original pieces, using LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION as our prompt.
If you’ve got an inspired ideas about how to respond to this week’s prompt, send us your submission of 400-700 words. Write us anything that comes to mind when you think of LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION. It can be a personal essay, a poem, short story, script, or anything else original and fresh.
