Beef is so versatile, don’t you think? Not just culinarily—where you can grill it, sear it, chicken fry it, corn it, and ultimately eat it—but in terms of its many metaphorical meanings.
What’s beef? Biggie can tell you.
Where’s the beef? Wendy’s wants to know.
Who beefed? We all smell something a little funky.
We’ve got a lot of questions about beef, but the most important one is—what do you have to say about it?
This week, we’re looking for new original pieces, using BEEF as our prompt.
If you’ve got an inspired ideas about how to respond to this week’s prompt, send us your submission of 400-700 words. Write us anything that comes to mind when you think of BEEF. It can be a personal essay, a poem, short story, script, or anything else original and fresh. Just make it worth our while and we’ll publish it, include it in our newsletter, and give you the chance to join the creative, talented staff writers here at The Prompt.
Email your responses to kelaine.conochan@thepromptmag.com by Sunday July 19th at midnight EDT.
