POETRY: Looking {Outside}

The sky was so blue yesterday, I couldn’t think

I just stared and stared and stared

Something that big and pure felt like a representative of God

And so on the sky I prayed

Hoping to wish this all away

There was a sudden silence

As the vastness of space mingled with my peering mind

I listened, but it had nothing to say

The sky was just a witness

Some birds chased each other between frozen trees

Two squirrels hopped and dug through the fresh fallen snow

I sighed, and shrugged, and went back inside

This was already the answer all along
